Wednesday 27th June 6pm - 10pm at star anise, stroud

An evening of music, song, tapas and inspiring stories of resilience, friendship and hope from refugees on the Greek island of Samos. Money raised will go to support Samos Volunteers which provide help to refugees and asylum-seekers living in the camp and shelters on Samos, by instilling a sense of normality, combatting boredom, and empowering people while they wait for their asylum to be processed. All ages welcome. Suggest £5 - £10 donation on the door. To read a blog about the situation in Samos, Where Compassion Takes Courage, click here

The evening will include:

  • Live performance with devotional sounds from around the world from Raga Babas (featuring sitar, tabla, acoustic & bass guitars, harmonium, violin, percussion, dholak, darbuka, hang, pipes and voice)
  • Songs performed and led by members from Stroud Song and Circle of Song
  • Earth songs led by Enchanting the Void
  • And much more...
