Thrive in Nature Practical Info
Welcome to our Wreath Making Workshop. We can’t wait to gather on Sunday.
Date
Sunday 14th December
Arrivals and Departures
Arrivals: You are invited to arrive from noon. Please aim to be there by 12.20pm for a bring-and-share lunch. The workshop will start around 1pm.
Departures: We will finish by 3.30pm.
Getting to Loveland
Here is a pin on Google Maps to help you find us. Loveland encourages walking where possible as parking is in rather short supply at the field (only about 3 parking spaces!). It is best to park on the road or Glebe Cemetary and then walk to the entrance (where Love Lane meets Bissom Road).
If you are running late on the day or need to contact us, please message on the Thrive in Nature WhatsApp Group.
Loveland Community Field is a locally-led 8 acre site, dedicated to growing food, nurturing wellbeing, caring for the environment, and education.
Walking Map
If you are walking, the entrance to Loveland can be quite hard to find…. It leaves the riverside footpath at roughly What3Words ///ankle.pupils.ground.
What to Bring….
We will gather around the fire (and under a shelter if it is raining). We suggest you bring:
A bring-and-share veggie dish for lunch (would be great to label if it contains gluten / dairy / nuts etc)
Comfortable & casual outdoor clothes including waterproofs (both jacket & trousers)
Winter foliage to share (if you have time!)
A pair of secateurs (if you have some!)
Outdoor shoes
Water bottle
Notebook & pen / pencil
Blanket and (optional) cushion to sit on that you don’t mind being outside
A camp chair (if this is possible for you - we have some seating but not enough for everyone)
Digital Detox
One of the things that people find really beneficial about our workshops is the opportunity to enjoy a short digital detox. We encourage you to turn you phone off or onto airoplane mode.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
