The Year Tree

The Year Tree is a year-long journey of deepening your relationship with one living tree and - through it - with the wider web of life.

Rooted in the wisdom of a sit-spot practice - the simple, ancient art of returning to the same place again and again - this programme invites you to cultivate more awareness, connection and intuition.

The journey starts by setting really clear goals and intentions for the coming year, rooted in your values and aspirations. You are then held by a small, like-minded community, as we will follow the turning of the seasons, weaving in reflections, creative prompts and nature-connection practices that help you attune to nature’s rhythms and to your own inner landscape.

What you will come away with…

  • Greater clarity on personal dreams, goals and objectives in your life - and supportive accountability to stay true to these

  • A deep living relationship with a single tree and its ecosystem

  • Greater alignment with natural rhythms, more balance to your days and an enhanced sense of wellbeing

  • Connection with nature and the seasons in a more intentional way, with all the benefits that this might bring - such as improved mental health, greater happiness and increased vitality, creativity and inspiration

  • Rekindled and deeper reverence for life

  • Support from a like-minded community of fellow travellers

Who is it for?

Anyone looking to harness the incredible potential of nature and community to enhance wellbeing, connection, meaning and purpose in your life.

One of our main intentions for this course is to make some of the work we do at Change in Nature more accessible to people who might not be able to commit to a residential retreat.

Course content

The foundations of the course are two workshops (held on the 24th January and 7th February) where we set intentions and explore practices for creativity, sensory awareness and nature connection.

We then have two further touch points around the summer and winter solstices.
